Short Enduro Race

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Take off at the bottom of the hill at 10:00 AM. Short Enduro stages will begin at 10:40 AM from the top of the hill. 

Short Enduro Stage 1 – 10:40 AM

Short Enduro Stage 3 – 12:40 PM

A two-stage race aimed at riders new to enduro racing and can be completed using any type of self-powered mountain bike. The two stages will utilize their own specific courses this year and stay a bit tamer than they have been in the past few years. Short Enduro Stage 1 will be pedal up. Short Enduro 3 will be lift assisted.

LAMAR Short-Track Cross Competitive (Pro)

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – 5:40 PM

Want more of a challenge? Test your speed and skill against some of the area’s fastest racers in a short track format. Same course as the recreational event, just faster competition. This ride will be 20 minutes +1 lap.

LAMAR Short-Track Cross Country Sport/Recreational

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – 5:10 PM
Get a quick taste of some of the XC Trails and challenge yourself to see if you can keep up with the competition in this new short and fast paced event. This ride will be 20 minutes +1 lap.

Long Enduro Race

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Take off at the bottom of the hill at 9:00 AM. Long Enduro stages will begin at 9:30 AM from the top of the hill. 

Enduro Stage 1 – 9:30 AM

Enduro Stage 2 – 10:20 AM

Enduro Stage 3 – 12:40 PM

Enduro Stage 4 –  1:40 PM

A four-stage race aimed at experienced enduro riders on capable bikes. Long Enduro Stages 1 and 2 will be pedal up. Long Enduro Stages 3 and 4 will be lift assisted. This year the courses will not be the exact same as the Short Enduro. We’ve got a mix of some classic trails to go along with something that you haven’t seen before. Courses will be revealed a week before race day.

Downhill Race

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Two timed runs for expert riders only. Full face helmet is required, and additional body armor is suggested. Get ready to rip down Calc for two timed race runs where only your best time will count.

Long Enduro/Downhill Combo

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – Stay Tuned for 2019 Official Race Times

Four primarily downhill enduro stages to go along with two timed runs down Calculated Risk for the Downhill. Long Enduro stages 1 & 2 will be pedal up, but you have access to the chairlift for Long Enduro stages 3 & 4 along with the Downhill runs.

Adventure Ride

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – 10:00 AM
This sweet locally guided traverse event will take you through 20 or 40 miles of Duluth’s epic trail system and offers spectacular vistas of the St. Louis River. Mountain bike required.

KA20 (Short)

Youth Downhill

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Pre-Ride – 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Race– 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

The race will be open to riders who have a bit of bike handling skills regardless of their age. All riders will be racing down a Green level Trail. There will be four age categories, male/female 5-9 and male/female 10-15. This race is geared towards the young, up and coming downhill riders that are the riders and racers of the future.

Kids Course and Kids Events

Saturday, August 3, 2019 – 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Kids Activities Area Open (ongoing activities) – 10:00-4:00 PM
The ongoing events include yard games, bounce house, tile painting, chalking the boulder, [NEW] mountain bike run for beginners.
Bike Decorations – 10:00 AM -12:15 PM* – Stop by to decorate your bike w/ craft materials!
Bike Parade – 12:30 PM – 12:45 PM* – A chance for kids to show off their newly designed bikes with a short walk through the vendor village.
Water Balloons – 1:00 PM* – Group games with water balloons.
Kids Strider Bike Race – 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM* – Short races around a relatively flat course. Strider bikes are great for absolute beginners as kids use their legs to push themselves forward and stay balanced.
Timed Kids Course Race – 2:00-2:30* – Weave your way through a slightly downhill course drawn out with hay bales!
Fire Department Water Truck – 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM* – Get a break from the heat by getting doused from a firetruck! The truck will show up in this time window when the fire department is available.

The kids downhill course will be open throughout the day. A very mellow path will wind down the base of Spirit Mountain and is aimed at the youngest of young riders! This course is all about FUN and developing bike handling skills. Spend some time here with your little one getting them introduced to the thrill of gravity!
